we are planning to swap the existing installed SPM Single Point Mooring which currently being used to moor a 600,000 bbls capacity FSO. The management is considering perform the Swap with very minimum downtime, i am as the operation specialist in this company considering to propose utilizing a DP Vessel to hold the FSO in position while the SPM being Swapped. By doing this, total downtime should be 1 -2 days. Normal Swap est. takes 7 days (means 7 days total downtime).

Please note we require a Passenger boat with seating capacity of between 150 to 200 for time charter of one year. Boat to be used for a shuttle run of about 1.5 NM in daytime only on west coast of India. starting from 01st March 2011.
Sourcing: Either Self propelled 5,000-10,000 DWT Shallow draft barge, must be IACS class, prefer bow thruster. or Barge with push tug similar. To charter 12 Months start September 2010.
Prefer location Asia, but will look at other areas.
